Do you mean "eton" dxl90? How many pins on your CDI, and what are the colors (use wiring harness side colors of any inline connectors - if that applies).

Sorry, meant to type eton. Wire colors at cdi are as follows: blue/yellow, black/red, black, black/white, brown, white/blue

Wow. Your colors match the wiring diagram I have. Such luck... It usually aint so...

I have to say from the outset that I've never even seen an eton quad of any kind. I'm working off published eton data, and a good general knowledge of electronics

Unplug your CDI. Turn the ignition switch off. Then use a meter to measure the following:

1) Set your meter to measure resistance (ohms) on the 2K ohm scale (2000 ohms). Measure the resistance of the blu/yel wire to the black wire. What do you measure?

2) Using the same setup, measure the resistance from the blk/red wire to the black wire. What do you measure?

3) Turn on the ignition switch, and set all kill switches to the run position. Set your meter to measure ohms on the lowest ohms scale you have. Hopefully this is something like 20 ohms, or 2 ohms, full scale. Measure the resistance of the blk/wht wire to the blk wire. What do you measure?

4) Same setup, measure the resistance of the wht/blu wire to the black wire. What do you measure?

5) Switch your meter over to measure DC volts n the 20 volts DC scale. Turn on the ignition switch and measure the DC voltage on the brn wire to the blk wire. What do you measure?

This is just a start. These measurements will help split apart those things that are working versus those that are not. From there we can dig in deeper...
