Piston and boring question?
#2
1) you only want to go as big as you need to ie: if your at stock bore (50mm), you'll go to 50.5mm
2) yes, the cylinder will need bored and honed to the correct size piston.
If you don't have a local shop that does this work, I can do it for you.

Porting is where you increase rpm's/hp.
No, you don't need a sleeve. The LT80 cylinder can be bored out to 52mm.
You're talking about the big bore cylinders (+4). Not the best choice for durability and also, LA Sleve isn't going to make any more and they only have 54.25mm and 54.5mm pistons available.

To go more than needed is a waste of a bore. The sooner you bore them to the max (52mm) the sooner you buy another cylinder.

Same thing I tried to tell people for years! Some kept thinking they would tell a great difference in power if you bored a cylinder all the way out. All you're doing is just wasting a good cylinder. OPT
