05 Polaris Predator problems

its running great now. im guessing it was just the fact it hadn't been run in a while. got the carb adjusted right and it runs good without dying. I don't have access to a comp gauge either. the only problem it has right now is the voltage jumps around from 13 to 16v

Replace that regulator..If you install a new battery the higher voltage back to the battery will just overheat it and short out cells.

ok. i will get a new regulator before I buy a battery then. will the30 dollar batteries on ebay work fine or should I buy one from advance auto?

A little cheapo YTX(BB)5LBS from Wally World or any where is fine for these little atvs,unless you just want to spend more on a better battery.

ok good. ebay has one for 27 and my local advance auto has one for 29
