I seen, I like, I can't afford! Looking for a fixer-upper, something that needs TLC.

Fixer upper Pilots are hard to come by and even harder to find on the web because too many other people are looking unless you are willing to pay at least $5000 for a beat up one with broken plastic. Keep an eye out in the local papers though.

You can find nice FL350s for $2500. One that needed a little TLC, but was not bad just went on eBay for $1650. The guy only had a $750 reserve. A stock 350 will out accelerate a stock Pilot. The 350 has the same bore (later ones have a smaller bore, but can be overbored back to 80mm, see www.livewireatv/350.htm) but a shorter stroke. The short stroke allows it to rev higher. The suspension is bad on the 350s but this is mostly due to the practically solid rear shocks. With Works shocks in the rear ($329), the improvement is almost unbelievable.

My ported machine will kill many of the guys machines I ride with and I still have less money into it than the initial price of a Pilot.

There will be a group of Pilot and Odysseys at Silver Lake on easter weekend including mine.
