I have a 84 lt50 that I purchased new. I let a relative use it and it came back damaged with no spark. So I checked it our and first off pulled the flywheel and all the magnets were ground up inside. So I replaced the flywheel. Since then I have replaced the coil and the stator under the flywheel and still no spark. I was told that this has a CDI but cant see one in the schematic. The kill switch checks out good. Just need a little help to know where to go from here?

 

First year model LT50 that I bought for my son when he was 5 years old.. Wish I still had it.. You might check all the connections leading back to the stupid emergency kill switch at the rear if you still have it hooked up. If you do you can do away with it and splice the wires together. What I had to do on his when the plunger cap got hard and brittle and didn't make good contact. Just a thought.. Don't know if this helps or not.Suzuki ATV Parts 1984 LT50 ELECTRICAL Diagram
