No LOL, 5 bikes "broke down" between registration and the race. Found out that they were letting an Apex run in the stock class and 5 backed out. She still had fun and we were proud of her, especially with this being her first race.

As long as they had fun that all that matters. Surprised they let kids wear short sleeve while racing. Any racing iv ever been around long sleeve is mandatory.

BS on the 5 backing out. No way to teach sportsmanship that way.
Stock DRR's and Apex's are the fastest out of the box. Can't say too much about them in a stock class even tho they will win.
If she likes racing, one of those is what you will be adding to the X-mas list.

Already got a guy trying to sell me one, lol. 2011 model. He just bought his daughter the full mod DRX 90. She has ran it for the last few seasons, good quad, good price, I'm just not sure mine is ready to be racing modified class.

BTW Jack, have you had any experience making a lowering kit for the LT80's?

I noticed in one of the pics it looks like you have the longer front shocks causing a bit of positive camber...I made some simple adjustment plates to correct that...those plates in turn lower the front a bit...I can take a pic if you are interested...

Here ya go bro...they are approx 3" long and I made them out of 1/8" plate with 10mm holes I believe. Center to center is a tad under 1-3/4". It drops the ride height approx 1". No interference with plastic either...

Pretty durable as this is 2nd machine this set-up is on (was on my kid's, now on neighbor's)...since you are racing I'd consider using 1/4" plate...but this set-up has handled some large riders :P
