Eton Viper 50 help
#1
Hello folks,
I have a customers Eton Viper 50 at my place. Hadn't run in a while and wanted to have me go over and and get it back in action. Did a full carb rebuild, new plug and new battery. Fired right up, but smokes bad and hesitates from time to time while on the throttle.
I noticed lots of oil dripping out of the tail pipe so I decided to investigate further. I ended up finding a broken oil pump cable. I'll be replacing the cable, but would this account for the smoke and oil from tail pipe?
Thanks guys!

That cable controls how much oil is being pumped to the carb, so the bike is going to be getting the wrong fuel/oil mix if the cable is broken. It will take a while to burn off all the oil already in the exhaust, so don't expect an instant reduction in smoke.
