Default 2007 Sportsman 90 Brake Question

I am having an issue where the rear brake when on a hill and under pressure it will pull through the adjustment bar on the rear drum and open the brake. I can turn the adjustment nut and tighten it back up. It's too dangerous to ride out on the hill right now. What do I need to replace? Would a jam nut on the bar up against the adjustment screw be a bad idea?

Do you see the butterfly nut and the rod the brake cable is attached too. That pulls through the nut and lets off the brake.

Here are the parts break down.

Ahhh so the round swivel is pulling out of the mount. Usually happens when things are adjusted up to tight. Iv pulled that swivel out drilled through from the end and tapped each end for a short bolt and washer on each side. I have also just welded a washer on each side.. once that bracket starts spreading it's usually screwed

I may give that a try. I think I probably need to go ahead and change the brakes first. It's screwed in pretty far to keep them tight. I do have people riding it just past the weight limit, so I need it pretty snug to stop. Thanks for the advice.
