Default LT80 pull start

Currently my LT80 does not have a pull start only electric start. The starter has started to not engage every time so I feel A new starter is coming soon. Has anyone ever installed the pull start as a back up ? On a side note when I buy a new starter is everyone buying the $20.00 starter of Ebay or is there a better option. I dont mind spending the money if it is worth it.

Thanks

is it just a matter of removing the cover and bolting on the recoil pull start? Seems like it would make sense to have for a back up if it is simple and cost effective to add it.

Simply, yes...cost effective...that's debatable...

I think every electric start wheeler should have another way to get it going (my Scrambler does)...let's face it...a car having a battery failure on the side of the road is not the same as an atv dying in the middle of nowhere...

Just to clarify if I buy the whole assembly for 90ish dollars I simply remove the cover and bolt on the pull starter....I could not find a blown up diagram. As always thanks

You must use the gasket from the cover to the pull start. It acts like a spacer.
