2000 - LT80 - After rebuild issues
#21
I would do/verify a couple things:
1) ensure the main jet is around stock (92.5)
2) move the needle clip to the middle
3) take a good look at your reed cage if you haven't done that (looking for cracked reeds)
4) ensure the slide in the carb is functioning properly - with your finger, make sure it's almost completely closed without throttle and completely open at WOT
5) ensure the needle jet is installed correctly (if up to high it will cause this symptom)
6) run it with no load (lift rear end and see how it responds through the throttle range)

Clip in the middle
Reed all good
Everything else seems to be working properly
- Going to drain the oil and put in motorcycle 2S for air cooled engines, just for ***** and giggles.
- Waiting on iridium plugs to arrive
- Going to install new clutch rollers to get it back to stock (took 2 out) it's just for my son to putt putt around on
- Have another carb to install for a test, the stock one I'll get "boiled"
-Compression 150+ , checked the head, no leaks
My 87' frame bushings took a crap so I am waiting for those to arrive now.
My only real issues are the fouling plugs really. so It can't be that bad.
