Several questions:

1. Is it ok to put a small briggs and stratton or other similar inline fuel filter on this quad? It seems like these tiny carbs are so sensitive to debris.
2. What are the factory settings for the throttle set screw (#6 on the parts breakdown)?
3. Use a high flow air filter (canister style) or stock?
4. Does anyone change main jets from summer to winter? We live at sea level but Alaska temps can go from -20 to 75 deg. I have found that this little quad does not like temps below 35 or 40 deg.

 

1) yes, add a filter.
2) sorry, can't help.
3) use a stock filter. Unless rpm's change, there isn't much need for a high flow filter.
4) Sorry, can't say. I do know that LT80's don't like the cold either. Changing the pilot jet didn't help for me.

 

Thanks! I was considering only putting the fuel filter on the reserve line but I might as well just put it after the stopcock. I tried the high-flow air filter that came with the new carb and I noticed that it provided too much air in colder temps and had to be taped over 1/2 to 3/4 covered. Going back to stock seems to be the best way to keep things normalized while only making minor air/fuel adjustments when needed.

LT80 i have a beat up 06 predator 50 i picked up for 75 bucks. The rear swing arm was broken so i had to weld it up. Do you know if you can still get this item and the bushings to install it? Or where i could find a trusted source for parts for this quad?

That's a dealer fiche. It says swingarm but I don't know what I'm looking at. It appears that all parts are available.
I'd say most any dealer would be able to help.
