Coleman AT125UT oil leak after replacing cylinder gasket
#1
Hi, my issue is a simple one. I've replaced the gasket on the cylinder head and after reinstalling the cylinder everything seems to work except I'm leaking oil now from the bottom of the cylinder. I did use the torque wrench to crank it to spec but I feel I may have missed putting on the little sleeves that go over the long bolts, best I can explain this. Is there anything that someone can tell me that would affect the oil leaking out like that I don't know?

If "the little sleeves that go over the long bolts" are the steel dowels, they are to ensure the cylinder is in the correct relationship with the crankcase, without them the cylinder can be off centre. If they are rubber tubes, that would be for sealing an oilway. Either way, best to remove cylinder again and fit a new cylinder base gasket, ensuring ALL of the old gasket material is cleaned off first, then fit those missing sleeves.
