is that engine fan,liquid,or free air cooled? If it is fan cooled i would take off the covers that are around the cooling fans, just leave the fan and make it like a free air. if it is liquid cooled it would be awesome you would have to take the radiator and make mounts for it. a free air engine would probally run like the one their.(i make a scoupe for mine and it runs cooler than before).

You can swap sled engines into Ody's, you will have to fabricate motor mounts and exhaust though. Below is a web page with some pictures on it of a conversion if you would like to see what one looks like;

If you plan on doing the swap, I would definitely use a liquid cooled engine. Fan would be my second choice if I had nothing else and free air would be my last.
Liquids are so much easier to keep cool; you can throw on a big old radiator and change your thermostat if needed. Fan cooled and F/A sled engines were designed to run in very cold weather, they would cook very quickly on an 80-degree day setting behind the seat of an Ody.
Why do the Ody engines do so well when all they are is F/A engines you ask? Look at the size of the cooling fins on an Ody as compared to those on a F/A sled, the Ody's are giant in comparison.
Good luck either way!

I live in AZ and a lot of times I will be looking in the CYCLE TRADER and I will see where they took the old fl250 and put a 440 snowmobile engine in it.I see them in the ad a whole lot.Apparentley they don't do to bad if they are air cooled,seeing how they are in AZ.The ad usually says very fast and cheap.It never said whether it was air or water or fan cooled or what kind of snowmobile engine it was,just that it was a 440 and very fast.
