Mine has been going good, but continue to have problems with the spark plug fouling. I have tried different plugs. I have been told my son is just not rididng it hard enough.

 

All three are junk IMHO! Depending on the size of the children you may consider going with an 80 or a 90. If they are on the smaller size, look at the "off" brand" 50's. You will find that they are better built, have better suspension, electric start (Pred 50 has elec start). They will be frustrated very soon (and so will you) with either the LT50 or KFX 50 (same machine). The Pred is the best of the three, but there are better bikes for less money. If you are stuck on the "Name" get an LT80. Last time we were out, there was a piped Pred 50 getting lapped by my sons piped Kasea 50 over and over again and my son probably had 25lbs on him.

 

No offense to anyone but know of the 3 stated above are junk. If anything the lt50 (kfx50)will be out grown as soon as you buy it. They should really be called a mini-mini and not considered a an averaged sized 50. I think if you are looking for a real sized 50 go w/ either the pred 50 or a kasea 50 and as Tommy stated the Drr. Do not be fooled by the names of these bikes they are damn good bikes for the buck. Just read and you will see what can be done to upgrade when needed.

I got my boy his quad and like you I was thinking a 50...when we got to the dealer and I seen how big he looked on it, my mind was changed right away and he got the 90.

oh...we ended up getting the pred 90 and it is a great quad. No problems at all.

 

can't help but to add my own "too sense"...

when making comments about these machines, you have to be careful to keep things in proper perspective. many of us are racer dads/moms, but many, many others are just recreational parents. "junk" may be a personal way of describing "not very fast", or doesn't have much racing potential, but to the average guy who plans to put his 50 lb kid on a quad for the first time there's no smarter way than to start with a micro-mini (provided the physical size is appropriate). my son ran the crap out of a 15 year old lt50 for two years (and enjoyed every second of it) before I moved him to a kasea 50 which is now heavily modified.

over the years they've all matured into decent machines, and certainly the likes of kawazuki doesn't deserve to be bashed. they've enjoyed a great reputation of reliability for decades and kept mini-quads alive through the dark years of the consent decree while the others stayed cautiously clear.

I like your feedback on this one. Personally, I don't like Honda mini-quads units. Never did and probably never will. When I provide feedback to someone asking for comparison comments between a Honda mini and brand xxx, I'm sometimes a little too negative against the Honda. Thanks for reminding all of us that every mini has come a long way. Each of us do have to keep in mind the majority of minis are used for "around the house" riding and minor trails. Very few are upgraded for full competitation racing and/or extreme rough trail riding. At these "past their design" riding conditions, it will magnify the improvement area of any mini brand. Even the "best of the best" have design improvements at these extreme levels. Again, many thanks for emphasizing that each of us need to keep things in perspective.
