mmm. they may be picking the meat off the bones. the parts division goes one way, the motorsports goes another? doesnt sound good to me. sounds like it's being parted out. I hope not.
and Dinli makes those weird looking mini atvs from Taiwan. This is gonna be interesting...

ATK is the only American based company (Utah) to produce dirt bikes. They were growing during the late 80's-early 90's. They have some cool bikes, but are manly into dirt track bikes now. They use ROTAX motors, and I remember that at one time around 1990(?) they had a prototype ATV, using a 604cc 4 stroke motor. It was incredibly fast, awesome suspension etc.. but they could find a way to produce them affortably. The final proto-type they built, if it went for sale, would have gone for over 15 grand, so they scrapped the project.
It would be nice if a somewhat succesfull American motorsports company was able to produce the Cannondale atvs/bikes. ATK had some very innovative designs in their day, and boost in some new technology might bring them up to par with the major players in the business. Even if they if they were at they level of the Husaberg or the Gas-Gas level. Not the biggest or the cheapest, but just about the best money can buy.
