I would think that the dale would dominate in the end. Im just thinking the way they are built. There all great. The looks of a yfz are much nicer then the frog like looks for cannondale. Just my 2 cents

 

I think Im going to name all mine Silvertoad 1 2 and 3.

I met up with a guy in Mexico with a cannondale, and was hopeing to out race him, no problem. My YFZ was completely stock, and hadn't even been broken in yet, but i couldn't help seeing what was up with the cannondale. The race was a dead tie, although we were in the sand, and he was beefed up with paddles, and a jetted out piped bike. The YFZ stayed right with him, although I have to give the credit to the cannondale...hopefully after i pipe the bike i can take him again..since stock yamaha pipes are so crappy [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

 

People often lump all of the Cannons together and think they are doing something when they go out and spank a Cannibal. They easily forget the Blaze and Moto had an extra 6HP just from exhaust and mapping. Be careful thinking you can take them all ... it don't take much to get another 10HP from one [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Yep it starts out the same every time ." I raced A cannondale" Thats like saying you beat a vette and leaving out the che....vette. LOL

 

LOL Wistech .... very very true .... and remember most of them out there are either Cannibals or Speeds .... the ones giving up 6HP with a toaster.

 

My buddy has a cannondale moto. He put his little brother on it to drag race me up comp hill at sand mountain nevada. I have ESR intake, gytr pipe, and cammod. His moto is stock with the titanium pipe and moto map. I think his brother is about 70 pounds lighter then i am. I beat him by about 5 or 6 quad lengths.

I beleive your story. I rode my bro's cam modded YFZ up our Sand Mtn this past weekend. I held 4th the whole way. I would of been faster w/o paddles. I tried 3rd and the piston was about to come out the tank. I was revving the snot out of it. He has stock gearing.. He's gonna drop a tooth on front and I should pull 4th at redline all the way up..My Dale has two less teeth in the rear and I couldn't hold third at redline. Stock gearing I'd be at redline.. The YFZ's get "On top of the sand" better...
