I have drag raced a few C-dales in the dunes with the mods listed in my signature. I always won by atleast a couple bike lengths. That's just my experience. I'm sure there's C-dale guys out there who have beaten some of the new 450's

I think it will all depend on what map and pipe combo you go up against. So far it looks like a stock yfz450 has more power than the cannondales with the lower rev limits and the smog pipes. Cannondale advertised them at around 33 horse. The moto had a race pipe on it and they rated it at 40 horse. Of course the moto was geared for mx. With all the new combo maps and airbox mods The rumors are you can get close to 50 horse with no internal engine mods. Those machines are few and far between . I have yet to see a how the ATK450 quads do against anything else.

I'll be ready for any TRX and almost any YFZ this summer. 450 kit, head work, exhaust, map, nothing that major... I think I'll pull 50-52RWHP

My dad's all stock Speed is not faster than a stock YFZ I'm sorry to say. My neighbor has a Moto with an HMF and that thing is QUITE a bit faster than mine, so I'm sure he could pull them. I need to get a pipe on my Speed because the stock one (AKA the lunch box, LOL ) sure doesn't flow enough.

Yep the "toaster " is quite restrictive. As soon as all the baffles break inside and you gut out all those spark arrestor cones you see why they loose 7 horse to the moto exhaust.

An ATK 450 w/ HMF pipe and Moto/Speed map will run about 2 quad lengths behind a piped, filtered, rev box, cam modded YFZ when the ATK is topped out.. That is a FACT!!! No headwork of any kind to the ATK.. The YFZ has more top speed also. The YFZ pulls ground the whole way from a second gear roll on through the gears..

Hey Sand its great to hear you got the old dog back in the game. I should bring my D&M kit with me for the Atk ride and get some serious tuning done to your quad. Its amazing how how a couple of minutes on the laptop can make your quad from a smooth easy to ride all day engine to a arm pump inducing tire spinner. I hope to have my moto ready to go for the dune trip and see how it does against my speed.

Jordy has a D&M kit for my quad. It runs better then his as it should w/ the reangled injectors.. The YFZ is just faster in the sand..

My stock piped cannibal put multiple whippings on the stock TRX450 a couple weeks ago.
I haven't raced a YFZ, but did see a friends 450 Cannon beat a piped/airbox/jet YFZ a while back.
