Those old school quads sure eat up the cash.
OLD SCHOOL!!! Hmmmmm
If I would have tried an electrical fuel injection it would have doubled in price....

Stage 8 update
Balance crank, Z400 bearing
Motor mount update
Stator update
Some will say aluminum oil pump gears and impellar, but it's not necessary
Or you can send your motor to a number of shops and they will do all the repairs.
Cord at ATK has done over 150 motors and alot of them w/ new 450 kits
Yours is an 03 so it will have some of these already done..

About 2300 w/ Z400 big end rod bearing and the whole shubang. Wisetech can hook you up alot cheaper and he knows what he is doing... He founded the Z400 bearing trick..

If money is tight and you just want the major updates you get away with under $200 for the stud updates,z400 bearing,if you do all the work yourself. If you want ported heads, big bore stroker kits and the dozens of little trick updates cost goes up into the thousands, just like any other quad.
