Any tips? I am sure I will need some parts once I get to tear into it. Should be a fun bike.

If it still has the fx400 case then make sure to get the case converted to the newer style flywheel side crank bearing when you pull the engine for the rod bearing . Check the rear swingarm for cracks in the center section. other than that the updates are pretty much the same as the rest of the cannondale line.

ok, It needs a fuel pump. I was going to get it running first and then take it from there.

Its the first year Cannondale quad. Easy identified by thier smoke grey plastic with mini mudflap front fenders. If not for the extemely weak flywheel bearing I would consider them the most reliable cannondale ever to come from the factory. Although in stock form they have a way to agressive mapping for the stock chassis . I find them hard to drive safely because of the sensative throttle , narrow track width and the underleveraged steering stem.
Zman might want to check that fuel pump before replacing parts.

I have to since it doesn't have one on it. I was told that it was bad and that is why I got it so cheap.
