just a little upset but not really

Yeah I thought when I saw a Cannibal at my dealer and how they had all the stuff my FX had and it got new fastners and a longer shifter, the anodized side case didn't do anything for me though. I felt like that wasn't too cool but I still like my FX, I would like to see those couple of things fitted to mine.

The way I understood it, the Cannible doesnt come with the ohlins shocks, the FMF exhaust, the good aluminum rims or the holeshots.
All of that stuff adds up to a lot of money, if you figure prices of those based on say what it would cost for a 400ex you have 600+ for shocks, 300 for exhaust, 200 for tires and another 200 for wheels.
Plus the speed looks way better if you ask me
Any word on the Moto 440 yet? I may have to trade the R on one of those when they get out!

Yes, I agree not very happy about that and also the new Speed with tbe new injection system out so soon. I would like to see Cdale offer the new
system to all FX owners at cost or better. Otherwise you lost a 1000.00 in value because those first Cannibal's that came with FX parts. Be sure to E-mail Cannondale and let them know how you feel. It will make a difference if all FX 400 owners voice their displeasure.

This is what everyone wanted - is't it?
Everyone wanted the manufactures to put as much effort into the quads as they do there Motorcross bikes. Think of the people that bought a 2000 CR250 or CR125, the 2001 CR models make the bike outdated within a year..And so it is for all of the MX bikes made by Suzuki, Yamaha, KTM, Honda, etc. To stay competative with a Cannondale..You may need to trade-in your old one every year for the updated version like every hardcore MX bike racer does. Same holds true for Snowcross snomobiles...every year the manufactures update the suspension, motors, bodywork, etc to give the racer the best there is to offer year by year. Guess you have to watch what you wish for sometimes...you just may get it.
The Cannondale was made for racing, and I am sure that Cannondale will follow the lines of the BIG four manufactures with constant updates with hardly any price increase. I am not saying this is what everyone wants, but the majority of crying in the forums is that all of the money that the quads make for the manufactures goes to the R & D of motorcycles.
Maybe Cannondale will keep the lower lines like the Cannibal the same year after year and just update the Speed, Moto, and Blaze? I guess time will tell. In regards to already updating the FX400, Speed, Moto, or Blaze every year.. I am all for it. Way to go Cannondale!!
