Why have Two when you can have Four!!
I was just on the Yamaha Web site and a 2002 YZ 125 Cost $4,999.00 That is a lot! I dont know but I feel I get my Moneys worth when buying a Atv. I must think that way cause you can do any thing on a Atv. Work and fun.

02Raptor, you must also take into consideration that you are buying 2002 2-stroke technology. If you could buy a 2002 250R, with the same 2002 technology of a CR, do you know how much it would be? It might make you sick! I think it is apparent that the end of 2-stroke production is nearing though. Honda has stuck it out with their bikes through the years, but even they have introduced a 4banger bike. I can't wait to wrap my wrists around one of the CR450F's!!

I like being able to walk, so I think I will stick with quads. You have to be too cautious with dirt bikes, and I always here of peopling screwing themselves up on them. When I get my 660r or FX400 my cousins and I will be arguing between it and their YZ125s. How fast does the XR450 go? Some guy I am going to be riding with either has a CR500 or an XR something, I know the CR500 will spank any stock quad. Quads are just so much more vesitile. Plus, it is easier to carry the girls, but the dirtbikers never have to worry about that.

I have both ridden quads and bikes for a number of years when i got a 96 kx125 in 97 it was a full on race bike. pinning the throttle on it was a experience. I rode around on quads and thought that nothing could match it until i rode a Banshee and about peeded my pants, those quads are fast!! but it shows what size engine it takes to match a 125's horsepower.

FYI - in 2000 Honda sold more ATVs than dirt and street bikes combined!

Thats the case for most manufacturers. ATV sales exceed all street and mx combined. In the east it seems like there are more mx'ers, but that's not the case. Problem is quad guys are not organized and tend to be hackers. However, if ATV'ers were to get organized and demand places to ride, TV air time, and other forms of ackowlegment I think dealers and manufacturers will listen because we spend all the money.

Most of the guys I ride with have dirt bikes and the first time I brought out the 500 they all kinda laughed, and told me I was riding a couch. Two things happened after our first couple of rides together, 1 when I pinned the throttle on the mighty Zilla and left most of them in the dust, they were at awe that a four wheel rig could do such a thing, and 2 when we all parked to take a break, they were asking if they could lean there precious bike up against my quad. Of course we know the answer they came out of my mouth.

I have nothing against our 2-wheel brothers, and I respect the fact that they are out there eating the dirt and pulling the big air with the rest of us, but I refuse to listem to any of them dog the quad community. Specially when we all hit the dunes and I could spend all day selling tickets to ride my 500 to most bikers like a carnival ride.

Hey, cctman carry HuevosIII with you everytime you go to the shop and the next time you're there at the same time those other guys are are anybike rider that puts down quad riders, tell the guys behind the counter to play the first few minutes like lonestarbanshee said as well as the last part when Natalie was at the salvage yard. Then show them BEAN! and tell them that that is what the bike riders are like. HA! HA! HA! Just playing but that would be funny.

CdaleRacer, the part I was referring to is in the salvage yard, but it is in the front of the movie. I think I'd put the pink slip on my R up is someone said they could do what Natalie did on a bike..(and not die doing it)
