What about at the front of Huevos III when someone was jumping a big single and landing on the down slope of that big grassy hill. I thought that was Natalie, but it may have been someone else. I'll have to go watch it again. That jump was pretty insane as far as distance goes. That guy Cory on the (bald tires, no sprocket, and needs a rebuild) 350X rules! hee! hee! guess he showed Jeremiah! I think those funny clips like that are great because thinking about there are guys like that at just about every track and they aren't playing. They are seriously like that. Anyway 2 wheels in my mind are best, as long as its 2 in the REAR!

Sorry for the confusion CdaleRacer, yes, that was Natalie. And yes, that jump is scary! I'd hate to be forced to do it, although, once you did it, it would be more fun than.. well.. I dont know what compares to landing a huge jump like that. And yes, that guy on the X was hilarious! In my opinion, after riding a 200E, that jump was the scariest one!

<< Most of the guys I ride with have dirt bikes and the first time I brought out the 500 they all kinda laughed, and told me I was riding a couch. Two things happened after our first couple of rides together, 1 when I pinned the throttle on the mighty Zilla and left most of them in the dust, they were at awe that a four wheel rig could do such a thing, and 2 when we all parked to take a break, they were asking if they could lean there precious bike up against my quad. Of course we know the answer they came out of my mouth.
I have nothing against our 2-wheel brothers, and I respect the fact that they are out there eating the dirt and pulling the big air with the rest of us, but I refuse to listem to any of them dog the quad community. Specially when we all hit the dunes and I could spend all day selling tickets to ride my 500 to most bikers like a carnival ride. >>
Now Zoo.. that's hilarious...

That pretty much reminds me of when 4wheeler riders diss 3wheelers.
It is no secret that 3wheelers don't handle, but If you can bust out tricks and moves on a trike like they do on bikes or quads. thats pretty damn extreme since its harder to do.
Myself, i like all machines, bikes, trikes, quads, sleds, trucks.....

Try this next time; mount one of those drink holders to your bars (the metal gage like ones that pivot in all directions) and have a can of your favorite beverage sitting in it, then pull up next a bunch of two wheelers take a sip as you realx on your "couch". Watch the looks you get then.
Now that's hilarious. I've done it.

I have been reading through all of these threads and in several of them I have seen that you guys think there are more MXer's out there than us. I am a dealer and our company gets the Dealer News. In this very informative mag they give us all of the upcoming products, reviews, and such. I know what you all are saying MXer's but in fact ATV's rule. Dealer News ran a publication a while back saying that ATV's are over 60% of the Motorcycle market. This means that 60% of "ALL" motorcycle sales in the US are ATV's. This includes streetbikes, dual sports, MX bikes, and ATV's. If anyone ever gives you s*&% about riding a quad, tell them to hop on one and keep up with you. I doubt they will, but if they do, show them what ROOST is.. RIDE HARD!!

mistercannondale, I can't speak for anyone else but when I said that there are more of them (bikes) than us (ATVs) what I meant was at the track. I've never been to any local track and seen more than about 25 quads. Most tracks around where I live usualy only have between 6-15 quads total and run three classes while there are that many bikes in each of their say ? 8 usualy more classes. Everyone knows quads outsell all bikes, but at the racing level their aren't enough of us. Has anyone ever been to a track and you had no one in your class to race with, this has happend to me and it sucks. It gets kind of boring on the track with no one giving you any pressure. Now that Cannondale has stood up and made the quads all of us racers have wanted this will help the sport of racing out. The thing is Cannondale can't do it all on there own. The other manufactures need to follow. If they do I think it would be safe to say that there would be atleast just as many quads at any track as there are bikes in a few years.

Oh, I see what you are saying. Sorry about the confusion and I do agree. My opinion doesnt count for much but here goes anyway. I live on the east coast and atving is thick here. The problem we have is that the AMA doesnt promote enough events for the majority of us to afford being involved with. With the popularity of ATV's I would hope that they would catch on soon. I completely agree with what you are saying about the competition staying on top of the game. Up until Cannondale I was a die hard Honda man. My mind was quickly changed after riding a Cdale. Honda and Yamaha make good quality machines and I have nothing bad to say about them so before everyone thinks I hate Japanese made machines, I dont. I cant wait until the Honda 450 comes out because then we (Cannondale) will have a little closer competition. I didnt mean to get off of the subject I just didnt want anyone to read me wrong. WE NEED MORE AMA SPONSORED ATV EVENTS. MXers get to chase the money. We dont.

You know what, maybe we should all write to the AMA about this. The one thing that sucks is there are very few Quad races on the east coast, and I don't even think there is an AMA sponsored event out here. I wonder if there is anyway we could change this?
