I have heard the 61 HP deal before, but only on these forums. If it does make that much power, that would be sweet, considering a Trinity stage 4 Zilla puts out about 15 more HP than the C-Dale would with the map, that quad must haul ball's!!

I don't think too many people would argue your facts about spending $500 on the Raptor and you can get 49HP, but HP isn't the Raptor's problem, it's got plenty of power and especially torque even in it's stock configuration. The Raptor's problem lies in it's design, it's to top heavy. It does not handle well because of this and it weighs more than it needs to. It even feels heavy when you ride it and especially if you try jumping with it. I'm not trashing the Raptor because it has it's place, I just sold mine and was a decent quad while I had it but other than it's engine design with the 5 valves, it's old technology compared to the C'dales with it's aluminum frame and EFI.

And the only person who has said 61 HP is corndog/sleeping catfish.
According to cannondale, the cannibal is 33HP stock @ 380 lbs.
I have no idea where that 42 stock came from.
Get your #s right catfish.

The 2001 FX with a HMF silencer and remap on the 500 fuel system has 40 hp at the real wheels and those holeshots slippin', did it myself at HMF. Email me a fax number and I'll send any of you a graph. The cert of origin does have some undervalued hp figure, as they all do.

Well, I don't know about 61 horses but 49hp is easily in reach with $500. I used to look down on the Raptors because it seems like all the owners really got their heads stuck up there asses pretty far, but a piped Raptor at the track today almost kind of hung with me off the gate. None of us rode very hard with all the mud and all but the Raptors seem to have good power. A little off subject, but I thought I should tell Briansgi something. In the last round of practice, I was going up to this camel back and I could hear someone haulin ***** behind me so I just rolled the camel and just as I came over the first hump of the camel, Johnny Hale jumped over me (not directly over me but over to my left). Brian, if you talk to Johnny sometime soon, ask him if he remembers practically jumping over to the left of a Cannibal at Badlands MX track. If he says yes, that was me... it was pretty cool. I'm excited about the race next week. I won't ride hard and will probably be at the back of the pack but I'm just there to have fun. I'll get better as I go. Brian, e-mail me sometime. We got just about everything figured out for LS. Talk to ya later man.
