The Cannibal retails for $6999, the local dealer to my knowledge has not discounted any of the Cannondale's. The only good deal you may find is looking on cycletrader.com and ebay and buying a slightly used quad, I have seen some great prices doing that.

Alba Motorsports in Poway California is selling the Cannibal for $6299 which is the cheapest I've found.

I bought mine OTD with Ohlins up front and aluminum wheels and ITP's for 6599, and that included tax.
I didnt get the GP1000 or a hydraulic clutch, but so far I could care less, the clutch works great, shifting is smooth and I got more, smooth power than I can handle yet.

Cannitor, I'm interested in an honest opinion on the raptor and cannibal since you own both. How does the power, handling, and reliability compare with each quad. Thanks for your input.

Also Cannitor, are there major differences in maintenance on them? I like the Cannondales but I don't want to be turning wrenches everytime I take it out.

I'll respond as well, I just sold my 2001 raptor and I also have a cannibal. Let me start by saying the cannibal is the reason why I sold my raptor. My raptor was also modified as far as rejetted, fmf header pipe and fmf silencer, airbox mod. It ran good, alot of torque but it's heavy. It also feels heavy, especially top heavy. Not a good jumper at all but it did have alot of torque. I did not have any problems with my raptor other than on the 2001, first gear is worthless and I bent my axle, they were known for having very weak axles. The raptor was fairly easy to work on, as far as routine maintenance. Changing oil was kind of messy though!!

The cannibal has got great power, very smooth, pulls hard through all the gears. It also is lighter weight and it feels alot lighter than the raptor. It handles very well, a great jumper but it also has better quality shocks on it. Maintenance wise it's more of a pain to do routine maintenance but it's not too bad. The only real pain on the cannibal is if you foul a plug, you have to remove all the plastic, remove the fuel tank which isn't too bad because it's got 2 quick disconnect fuel lines, pretty neat actually. But if you follow proper starting procedures, you should not foul your plug. Changing oil requires you to use a rubber hose and drain the oil from 2 locations on the frame, yes the oil resides inside the aluminum frame, neat idea!! And it has a reuseable, easy to get to oil filter, the raptor's oil filter is not reuseable. The cannibal also has a separate transmission case so you can drain the transmission oil separately and it also has a reuseable filter. Air filter cleaning requires removing the front plastic but that's no big deal. That's about it!!
