I just got my cannibal last week and the day after I got it the plug fouled. I think it was already bad though. Anyway, my manual calls for the 10EK to but I put in the 8EK with no problems since. Are you changing your plug if so tell me what plug you take out? On my quad it calls for the 10 and I took out a 9EK. Hope this helps and relates.

go with the 8.yes it's a hotter plug, but that doesn't your engine will run hotter,it means the spark is hotter, there for making it a little more efficient and able to burn the fuel better.i hope this helps!!

I Still have the 9 that came out the bike.Im going to pull out the 8 that I ran this weekend and compare their readings. It might just be me,but the 8 felt like it had a more crisp throtle resonce.

I am in the same situation, Speed came with a CR10EK; but the dealer only has 8's. I am going to run the 8, especially after last weekend and all the trouble getting it to fire off. JIM

running a hotter burning plug on a air cooled/carburated engine would be a concern. You'd be looking at re-jetting to maintain the optium exhaust temp.

With our engines, it should be fine.
