California Emissions and Green Sticker Program

Cacannon,
I'll split the differance with you they allow quads at the one in LA I forget the name but I'll look it up for you. THey did a Cannondale review on the track no to long ago.
Comp park was $15.00 for the day and you don't need anything but a helmet. To enter a race you will need Nerfs and a kill switch.
A Felony, my luck in court will prevent me from trying the fake Green sticker.

None of the private tracks I've been to require nerfs, or even spark arrestors for that matter, but some do have resticted hours for quads. It's pretty dangerous for the dirt bike pukes to go wheel to wheel with ATV's, and we also tend to turn the dirt in the turns into cement. Entry fees around here are running $20 for quads, $15 for dirt bikes. Club Moto has a sliding scale, so if you bring the whole family they don't whack you for $20 each. They have a web site @www.clubmoto.com.
As far as heading north, you need to go pretty high in the Sierra's to escape the heat from June-Sept. The Tahoe area is an example of a good summer riding place. It's open to red sticker machines year round and the elevation (6-10,000 ft) keeps it reasonably cool. It's also pretty easy to get to from So Cal via Hwy 395. I just heard about a place just south of Tahoe called Bear River Lake Resort. It looks like a great place. They have a website @www.bearriverlake.com
Hope this helps.
