In reply to your response about electro-mechanical and rotary valves. Well just as a clue in, Electro-Hydraulic Valves will be used on next years Navistar/Ford diesel pickup engines. These will be cam-less engines which offer constantly variable valves. This is going to be an awsome advance in technology in two ways, it will let a 6.0L Turbo Diesel put out 300HP 550ft.lb.tq and also (these are just my personal thoughts) let them put a computer program in your engine that did true engine compresion braking (Jake Brake) which will let you go up the hill at the speed you want and let you come down the hill at the speed you want. any way I hope that is new knowledge that you can use and in-turn pass on
