Is there a special way to adjust these hydraulic clutches? I just thought I would see if any of you have messed with it, as mine seems like it could use some adjustment. When it is warming up, if you put it into gear; the quad wants to move forward with the clutch pulled in...sometimes it just dies as soon as you put it into gear.........JIM

Just turn the red **** on your clutch; it moves the lever away from the bars or into the bars. I am not sure if it's left or right without looking at my quad but if the quad is moving with the clutch pulled you need to move your lever away from the bars so that you get more pull. I hope this helps.

Also, you need to change the oil on it everynow and then. I have not heard of any of them failing as well....

The lower cylinder on the CD is different than the aftermarket unit sold for use on a 400EX & Raptor.... The CD's slave cyl is built into the engine case and is a bit different design, it may not suffer the same problems the 400EX or Raptor unit does.

I wonder if the problems you experienced were more related to exhaust heat from the header pipe than a design problem - if so, this is not an issue on a cannondale.

I want to give a conclusion to my hydraulic clutch adjustment thread. I indeed used the little red adjuster **** at the lever to move the lever away from the bars more and it must have given me the adjustment I needed, because it is working flawlessly now. I can even sit in gear at the start line when I need to without it stalling. Anyways, everything is good, thank you for the help.....JIM
