11" or 9.5" Turf Tamers?

should i get 18/9.5/8 or 18/11/8 tires for the rear of my Quadracer? I went here because I bet some of you guys have tried both or could tell me the differences I'll notice between the two...

Get the 8.5's and groove them. You'll be able to slide very easy and you won't notice the lack of traction compared to the 11's.

yeh my buddy put the 11's on his 400ex and said they where too wide. Also is there a "correct way" to groove these?

I have 11 wide mx holeshots. they slide very good for a wide tires. Plus I get more traction because there is more tire in contact with the ground. Well thats my .02

There is a correct way to groove them and if you don't have the right tool, you can't get the ***** cut down low enough. If you order the tires from Johnny Hale, he will groove the tires for you if you ask, I believe he charges $10/tire for grooving.

If you're serious about racing, you might as well buy the grooving tool and then go borrow someones grooved Tamer, and copy the way it was grooved.

i know its a sad way to show my cut but it was the best i could think of as for cutting them get a set of hoof trimers works good .i can do a set in under a hour
