As most of you know, I had a little meeting with the ground at my last race and I told yall that my damage was a slightly bent nerf bar, broken head light, bent handlebars, broken brake line, bent to hell wheel, and a broken nose. Well I was getting the "finishing touches" done to my quad (minus the brakes... still don't have them) and I stood back behind the Dale and noticed the most costly, painful, "kick in the nuts" yet... I bent my dang axle! Now it's not bad enough to keep me off the track but I don't know how long it will last. I'm already saving up money for a +4 Axcalibur axle (actually I only have $15, but hey, you gotta start somewhere) and Lonestar Racing told me it would probably cost about $410 w/ tax and shipping (WOOHOO!!! only $395 to go! ) but I was wondering if any of yall know where to get a Lonestar +4 axle for cheaper than directy from the factory?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Also, donations can be made out to Douwe at (903) 365-.... J/K

Wow, that sounds high, I paid $310 for my son's +4 Lonestar Excalibur
axle back last December for his R. I got mine from Denton Racing, talk to Nick. I wouldn't think the axle for our C'dales should be much more.

Yodaddy- R & S has a RPM axle with a anti-fade locknut for $459. Anti-fade locknuts usually go for $220. Maybe you can get just the RPM axle for less. RPM's phone number is 928-771-9363 and their website is RPM's website. Its worth the try. I have a RPM axle on my 250r and it seems to be extremely strong. MrP.

I'm going to second Denton. I bought a +1/+3 LSR axle for my Warrior about 6 or so months ago. With a little haggling, they had the best price(about $325 I think it was) and had it in stock. It's a nice axle with a better warranty than Durablue.

Mine isn't to terribly bent so I can still ride for a while on it, but don't get me wrong, I am saving up my money and looking for things to sell right now... I'm not goin to wait. Once I have the money, I'm ordering. I called Denton and he said, "Yes we have them in stock. They retail for $388 and I'll hook you up with one for $329." No tax, so at my door it will be less than $350... nice... it will be less money at my door than the retail price direct from the factory . It might be a month or two till I get it though , unless I can sell some of my stuff.

MrP - hey man, sorry but I won't be at Swan for the Outlaw Mx race. I'm gonna save my money and try to get that axle ASAP. I WILL be finishing the Lonestar champ series though. Man, if you like tight technical tracks, you have GOT to go to Badlands. There is some fast guys out there... Johnny comes out there some times and Hunter and Cody Miller are out there a lot. Hunter and definitely Cody are gonna end up racing pro. Cody is like 13 or 14 years old and he is FAAAASSSTTT! You should head out there some time.

Alaska400ex - Thanks for the offer but when something messes up on my quad, I usually try to avoid replacing it with a stock part. The only part I have replaced with a stocker was my wheels, but I replaced them with stock Honda wheels... much stronger (I guess Honda could do one thing right ). Thanks again for the offer though.

YoDaddy- I will be sure and throw some roost for you at Swan since your not going to be able to make it. Hunter has just been released from the doctor to start back racing and Cody has been tearing up the 90 class at the Nationals.

MX,

I'd take Alaska's axle. Dude look at what you did to get it to bend in the first place, do you think an aftermarket would not have? If I needed an axle and someone had a stocker lying around for the cheap, I's be all over it. Just a thought.

If it was me, I'd take your bent axle to someone local who can straighten it. There is a guy here in Tulsa that Johnny Hale takes bent axles to and I believe they charge $50 for the service. You can probably find someone near you to do the same thing. The stock C'dale axles are not weak so unless you are just wanting to get an aftermarket for more width, I'd repair your own.
