Re-Valve Ohlins or get PEP's ???
#1
Okay, I've come to realize....I can't get my shocks dialed in with the limited amount of adjustment I have. So, do I have Ohlins re-valve my shocks, add the rezs, and the dual rate springs or just buy PEP's?
I'm not a pro rider by all means, but I'm getting the crap beat out of me in the rough stuff. I'd like to hear from someone who has ridden a Blaze then ridden a Cannondale fitted with Aftermarket shocks.
Thanks in advance!

Revalving the stock Ohlins should really be out of the question, here's why...for the SAME COST to do what you are talking about, you can just buy the long travel Ohlins that come on the moto! (I checked into it) If you like the Ohlins, just buy new and you can sell the old ones actually making things cheaper in the end.
Option #2....I'd look into TCS for shocks instead of PEP, don't get me wrong, the PEP stuff isn't bad, but other than the long-travel Ohlins on the Moto, TCS is the best thing I've found so far. (and I've riden on every major brand out there to this point) Another nice thing with the TCS, they now have some that will work with Moto A-arms also while the PEP's are too long to work with stock Moto A-arms.

The moto shocks will not fit on stock a-arms I have heard that the rezzy kit is a good buy.I dont know what kind of racing you do.If you motocross you will want to have wider a-arms sooner or later. The moto front end kit is a real good buy you get arms+3,shocks,brakelines,tierods and ends, new balljoints.Or go with PEPandlonestar the +3arms seem to be the way to go on the cannondale.I got the moto kit I will be putting it on this weekend a buddy has it was very impressed with adjustability we are working on good way to lower it for TT,flattrack there is interference with the rezzy and the swaybar. The PEP,Lonestar setup wouldnt have that problem but the lonestar uses heim joints and we all know what a pain those can be to keep tight.A fellow racer has the lonestar setup he hasnt had any joints go bad so maybe they wont be a problem.
The stock Ohlins can be valved to work for you if you are running trails and CCracing.Mine work great cannondale offers 3different spring rates fo the ohlins.
With all the different types of racing the setups are different for each If you race every kind of race it is a big job to constantly be switching back and forth someday I hope the A.M.A.will have true production class in all the forms of racing they have what they have now is a joke.Think of the fun that would bring into racing all you would have to do is maintenence.

I talked to the Ohlins guys at a Gncc awhile back and he quoted me at $135 to revalve and respring the front shocks on my speed. He said he could do it the friday before the next race at the track if I wanted it done. I still haven't took the time to have it done. He did adjust my rear shock for me for free.

I raced a Speed with the stock shocks and they were ok, then put some Elka's on and raced it again. What a huge difference it made! I haven't rode one with the Blaze shocks yet so I can't comment on those till my Blaze gets here next week. The only thing bad about going with PEP's is that there is a minimum of 8 weeks till you get them.
