I have an fx and it has an HMF and moto mapping and I run 76 mph almost 77 on a 1000 ft pavement drag strip I am not even hitting the rev limiter and I also have 20" turf tamers witch are about an inch smaller than the itp's.

Hmmmm.... I guess the Dales can't reach the limiter w/ the extra 1000 RPM's. But Mojavekid, if you think I'm full of it just because I say I can hit the rev limiter in 5th, just come on over here and I'll prove it to you. Why would I lie about that? Also, if a Raptor and Banshee can go over 70mph, than a Dale certainly can too... it might just be his GPS, so just because we question his #'s doesn't mean we are all full of ****.

I did run out of road before it had completely flattened out. I think I could probably get into the mid seventies. Still don't think I could get all the way to the rev limiter though. I'll have to take it out to my friends house and try it. He has a longer stretch of road to run.

Mountainman is it true the 03moto has 12000rpm limit used to be 11500?
If that is true then we know one difference in the new maps.
I was able to download the new maps yesterday will be calling cannondale to find out what is all different.
Dont know what my top speed is but on a 1/3 mi oval with 14-39gearing and 18in.American Racer tires motospeed map hit rev limiter in 5th right at end of straight.

Airtimehocut,

My dealer says I should have gained 9 horsepower with the pipe and remap. It did make a big difference. It just hits so much harder and faster. The thing I like most is the raise in the rev limit. I hated hitting it so fast in the lower gears. It just feels like you can get a lot more out of it now. The 12,000 number is from my dealer, he said they raised it for 03.

CRAWLR,

I got back a little bit ago and here are the results. I hit 79.4 and it was still climbing before I ran out of road. It climbs slow after you hit about 65 but it just keeps on climbing. I think you had a lot more left on the top end than you thought you did. I will try to find a longer stretch of road to get the top speed in a few days. One thing you also may need to look at is your gps. Some of them are delayed for a few seconds while they locate satelites to get a speed. Although the speeds of a gps are very accurate you must maintain the same speed for a few seconds to really get an accurate reading. So you really need to rev out and hold it for a few seconds if you want your true top speed.

I had my friends Legend GPS on my Raptor with just a pipe and Rejetted with 22" holeshots and it read 80.7 and that is with a 12 tooth front sprocket....lol With my gps also a legend the best I have gotten to was 70.6 MPH (much more believable) but that was not completely topped out either. Obviously the GPS is not always 100% correct. Funny thing my friend says he has seen some strange numbers before but mine always seems to be dead on.

Gps is the most accurate method of recording top speed. When my DS650 was bone stock with 22" studded razrs, I hit 82.6 mph on about a 2 mile long lake, 76 mph with stock 20" tires. The only thing holding me back from more speed was the stupid 7700 rpm limiter. There is no replacement for displacement, but I would sure think the blaze should top out more than 69 mph though!
