I have owned my Speed since April, raced my first MX season on it and it is still solid and running strong. I don't think there are any model specific issues to look out for, I would only say to buy a quality trickle charger and keep it on the quad when you aren't riding it. The only time I have had trouble was because of a dead battery from sitting and then the ECU won't run. Normal maintenance as far as oil changes, air filter cleaning, chain lubing and keeping the adjustment in spec, etc. I go over the whole quad once a week for a couple hours and check all the key nuts, bolts, etc. The stock ITP wheels are a joke, they are weak and not the rolled edge like my 400EX had, and other than that just use common sense..........JIM

Oh yea, I have a SPEED, port and polish by Trinity Racing in Anaheim Ca. just broke it in and ready to see what she can do. Outside of a scored cyclinder, Maintance issue on first service done by a Honda dealership, no problems.

Riding the quad Honda should have made.

if you have a cannondale dealer sponsoring you go with the moto nerfs, he should be able to give you a good price on them.

I have a Speed and it sucks! It sucks to always have to be out front, it sucks to have the baddest quad made, it sucks to have people asking if they can ride it. It just sucks to have a big grin everytime I ride it.
