Just curious if you guys new what a used cannondale motor would go for? I've got one locally that I can pick up fairly inexpensive, what do you think would be a fair price? It includes all of the injection system, computer, etc. Thanks.

 

Man that's most of the cost of the quad. 3,000 might be a good deal anything less than that would be GREAT.

$800 is a steal

Well.....A new engine with the EC1000 computer runs just over $9,000.00................so I say it's more than a steal.

Better make sure you aren't getting this from someone who has had their replaced by Cannondale for free, because even though it may be 6 months or more before they ask for it.....they will ask for it....and they will get it.

We have replaced engines and had to have it sitting around for nearly 9 months before they eventually sent the paperwork to send it back!!

Just mentioning this in case this might be what is going on and don't want to see you loose all your money.

 

There was a motor on eBay for $800 last week. It was a pretty new auction, so I'm not sure if it has went off or what its up to now. $9000 for a motor??? JEEEEZE!

 

Not trying to start anything knowsalot, but $9000 for the motor??? That doesn't make sense.

So Cannondale is loosing alot of money on the Cannibal and Speed selling for less than the motor alone. Why would anyone buy a motor when they could buy a whole new quad? If the motor cost Cannondale anywhere near $9000 to build they are doomed financially.

 

How does a Cannondale motor cost $9000, but a Speed, a entire quad only cost $8000?
