Adjusting front Ohlins
#2
This may sound bad but, I just put the front end up on a stump to take most of the pressure off them then grab the spring with one hand and push down, then twist the lower ring with my other hand it's pretty easy that way.

Correct, get the front end off the ground however you can. Then use a couple vise grips that lock into place to remove tension off the adjuster and the change the setting by either going to another notch on the 3 position spacers or move the retaining clip up or down as needed.
