Default Would it be wise?????????

MX dale,
I was looking at a 450 this weekend I'm not going to say it is impossible but I dont see any way to fit it in our quads.Just wait to see what happens. The rumors are flying about potential buyers I have heard everything from KTM to a taiwan T-Rex buyer mentioned. We will know probably within the week if parts and how many are available.I dont like the situation but it is to early to sell it we dont know enough yet.

Well, I've come to the decision that I'm not going to sell it. I feel that it would be pointless to sell it. Either sell it now and don't get crap for it and lose a lot of money, or ride and enjoy it and maybe sell it later and still not get crap for it, but atleast I enjoyed my quad and got more of my money's worth out of it.

I think it would be possible to fit the 450 motor in it. I think you would need to get one of the Walsh subframes and 1 gallon gas tanks and then instead of having an air box, use one of those little K&N filters that bolt directly up to the carburator. The reason, I THINK, you would need the smaller gas tank is because other wise you might have the exhaust to close to the tank. I dunno though, I think it's very possible as long as you have someone that can REALLY work well with aluminum... and I do happen to know someone like that. But thats to far away from now... it's all just ideas and dreams for me right now... just checking out different options.

MXDALE,I can't tell you all the thoughts running through my head.I actually made my self sick yesterday thinking about it.

Im pretty much in the same boat as you."THE WELL HAS RUN DRY"

I could not take anything less than my dale to the tracks I have been running and expect to be competive.I have the ex but to build it up to my dales level it would cost way to much, and I can't swing it.I would also have to have a searious sponser.

From what I have heard Cannondale only produced the(Frame) alum. work pretty much.Vendores suplied the rest. And they put them together.I think we will still be able to get parts through the vendors for awhile.

I also decided to ride mine to the wheel fall of or dont ride nuthing.

Well, somewhere's in cyber space we talked about a different motor in a Dale. Three problems, 1- air intake is in the front 2- exhust is out the back 3- chain is on the RIGHT side. I'm sure there are some other miner things, but they seem to be the toughest.

Do you think you can flip the bearing carrier around and every thing else around.Or
Use a R swing arm and moter.Walsh has a diferent sub frame and gas tank that might help.I don't Think its imposable. But would have to be well thought out.

I know a guy who knows a guy that works for the transmission supplier. If the motor sports division does not come back to life they plan to market the gear sets and shafts as after market parts. Since they are the original manufacturer the parts could be less than Cannondale's replacement part costs. It all hinges on what happens to the motor sports division. I'm sure there are other suppliers who would do the same.

Well i called my dealer today and Cannondale to find out what is going on and they said that they are not making any more parts or shipping any more parts until this is all settled. My dealer also said that he WOULD NOT work on my dales until Cannondale is up to full speed. THIS SUCKS!!! The dales only have about 16 hours on them and not all of the updates done (they were on order when all this happend). I cant belive this whole situation and am having second thoughts about geting one. But this is the best bike ive ever owned and im going to keep it no mater what happens....

Yes, Id dump that C-dale ASAP, before the general public finds out they are bankrupt and that you cant get basic parts for them, for the time being anyway...

What's with the bitter, negative posts this morning Roost? Disappointed in yourself for not having the ***** to join this revolutionary effort while it still could have made a difference? Do you think the pioneers and visionaries need your dose of RoostReality to understand our situation? I personally wouldn't dump a problem on an unsuspecting rider, I don't need money enough to lie/cheat to save a little. I guess that's just me though.

I think he is just mad because so many Dales have been killing him. It's the only way he can vent his anger for not having the best darn quad ever built!!.
