Default Moto Speed MAP

I understand there is a Moto speed MAP out that uses the bottom end from a Moto and speed map for the top.

Anyone using this?

Where can I find the file?

I dont know, I havent tried that Map, from what I understand the sped has a better top end so someone married the two maps. I think Dubya1 knows a bit more about it

There's no way to "marry" two maps or anything like that. They would have to modify the current fuel parameters of a map to reflect another map....1986ATC can explain it better.

I got off another board where you can download the MAP. 'Marry' may not have been the best term, but I didnt know a better way to describe it. The MAP from what I understand uses the fuel parameters for the Moto map up to, I believe, 7400 RPM then uses the fuel parameters from the speed map. Supposedly taking the best of both?

It was apparently made by Gabe (atc250r)

Yes, that is a map I made by special request...

It is available for download from cannondaler.com or on the Cannondale Yahoo email group

It is a moto basemap that switches to Speed mappings around 8000 RPM (can't remeber the exact RPM).

If anyone needs the exact RPM of the switchover, I can look at it and figure it out.

I have used this map.

On the dyno with a filter and exhaust, it produced 43.8 hp.

On the dunes, It was great! I would recomend it to just about anyone.

Dune Devil, I saw a dyno run with 45 HP using my map, only they richened it a bit by using the injector size parameter in the M&D kit. Something to play with....

Thanks for clarifying that

What are the significant characteristics of the Traction maps on the candaler page, I know that Dubya made them, I just didnt know if you knew the differences and how they performed?

That is a thought........

How much can the map be "richened up"? It would be fun to play with some "liquid oxygen" in the fuel to see if I could break the 50hp mark.

Just kinda wish I had a Dyno around here.

Anyone in KC know of a dyno.
