Default Back in the Saddle again

just wanted to let everyone know that josh has a new ride. sorry to say after he lost the cannondale ride that we had to go to another brand but we had to do what our wallet could afford. maybe after cannondale is bought and the new company starightens out the issues with the current models we can move back to cannondale. we have bought jason fullers 400ex. this quad is already set up for mx racing and has nothing but the best parts on it. jason made us a good deal which we could not pass up. right now the quad is having a new sparks 440 top end being put in it and should be up and running by this weekend. josh is anxious to get back on the track racing again, we plan to do a little to the quad in the next few months mostly to personlize it. we plan on powder coating the frame red and changing from red plastic to yellow and also get the tcs shocks set up for josh's weight and riding style. our first race back should be at the houma arena cross on april 26th. we are hoping to practice a couple of times next week so josh can get the feel of his new ride before his first race on it. thanks for everyones support and offers of help after josh lost the moto ride. i may have to ask for help since this is our first experiance on a honda and we have so much to learn about this quad. thanks again and see ya'll here or at the races.

Hey Mark and Josh,

Good to hear Josh is getting back into it and that the ride is ready. I wish the best for you and goodluck with the 400ex. They are awesome machines once modied, still no cannondale thou. But there not much you can do about that. I'm still holding onto my speed hoping things will turn around. Not having the best of luck with the GasGas yet, overheating problems have cause me to DNF in 3 of the last 4 races, but me, the dealer, and GasGas are working on fixing the problem and hopefully I'll have a good ride at Lorreta's next weekend.

By the way ATV Sport has a shot of me racing the quad at the season opener in Florida on page 98 #3 caption in the June issue.

Anyways goodluck and keep us posted on how the race goes.

Mike

Sounds Awesome Mark,
I know that's definatley one of the nicest EX's I've ever seen in person!
I know two AWESOME PC guys, If you want I can give you some info on them.
One is local from New Orleans (who did my frame), and the other is in Pa (Who did everything else for me aka "Pappy").
Let me know how the TCS shocks perform.
I may be able hook up with ya'll a do a little ridin' in the next few weeks, my R will be done this weekend if all goes well.

All i Did today was ride My R. Just testing out the new axle that we had put on it. It handles a lot better in turns and is not as tippy. It looks better too.

you gonna finally get to ride that r huh ? i got the name of a guy in louisiana who done a friends frame, swing arm and a-arms fo $ 150. so far i havent find anyone that can beat that price. hoe we can meet up with you at one of the tracks. looks like we wont race the arena cross series that starts april 26th. tey had added a mini quad class bu the age was set at 4 to 8. i told them that 8 was too young a cut off age and that would exclude most of the mini quad racers in this area. they wont change it so i told them to stick their series and we would race elsewhere. later

glad your back up and running. we might make rock hill this thursday. i gotta try and talk them into adding a mini quad class there. josh went and watched the races thre this past weekend and said there was 10 quads there. we might race there next weekend but i would really like to find a place were bubba can race too. the new mobile track races next weekend and they do race mini quads there, might have to drive up there and check that track out soon. later

Here's a few pics of the R:

Pics of my R!

$150 is a VERY cheap price! Just make sure the guy puts clear in the PC! If he doesn't, durability will be very bad.
Thats sad to hear about the series idiotic cut off age, I woulda said screw em too

I should be at the hancock county AX race, WITH a quad

hey mark, glad to hear josh is back on track. from what i have heard the only thing josh will have to get used to is shifting gears a little more often and doing with a little less power. other than that i would think the 400 handles about the same as a cdale moto. i haven't been back on my cdale since feb. i need to take it out and put some hours on it, i haven't even rode my r since i put the new motor on it. maybe this weekend. see yaw. did mr pever get his motto?

mrp bought a cannibal and modded it. the moto never came and he got tired of waiting and bought the cannibal. he actually replaced everything that would have made it a moto anyway. he is running walsh a-arms walsh subframe, elka shocks and r plastic on it. he had planned on doing the same thing to the moto so it was actually cheaper to buy the cannibal. from what i hear he has it up for sale and is building a crf450 powered quad. his first race on the dale the crankcase bolts came loose so he got a dnf.
yea its been 2 months for us too. we thought we would have the ex back together last weekend but we had to order the bushing that goes in the small end of the carillo rod. we will be back out there soon just not sure how soon and am just taking it a day at a time now . maybe we will catch up with you at one of the tracks one day. later

Mark,

Great to hear Josh got a quad and you guys are racing again. I'm getting the MX racing bug quickly, so hopefully I can race with you guys some. I pretty well destroyed the stock R frame, but we'll be up and running with an aftermarket setup really soon. Let us know what your race schedule will be this summer, I'm looking forward to racing quite a bit, even if it means some driving.

Eddie
