While I agree with you guys on principal, it's poor election strategy that has some bad unintended consequences.

I think we can all agree that the next president will either be Bush or Kerry, right?
And after the 2000 election, we now know that very few votes can influence a national election, right?

Who elected George Bush in 2000?

The people who jumped ship on Al Gore and voted for Ralph Nader. Ya think they wanted THAT to happen?

Who elected Clinton in 1992?

The people who jumped ship on Bush and voted for Ross Perot. Ya think they wanted THAT to happen?

So here is my problem with this:

I'd rather have Bush in there than Kerry and if I jump ship and vote for the 3rd guy, I am helping to elect Kerry. It just makes no sense to say "If Bush isn't going to be 100% of what I want in a candidate, I am going to vote for Kerry who is even LESS of what I want in a candidate!"

I think they call that "cutting off your nose to spite your face."

I understand where you are coming from, I don't want Kerry in office either. But if we dont break the cycle at some point it will never end!

If you look at it from this perspective though.... If by some unforseen reason Kerry did get elected this term... Guess who cant run in 08 You got it Clinton ughhhhhhhhhh Hillary wouldnt that be a Nightmare! Guess what she is prepping Herself to run its only a matter of time!

At some point we all have to draw a line in the sand and stick to our guns! This year is my line I will only vote for who I feel takes the stands I believe in!

The more we accept the more becomes acceptable..... Apathy is lethal and is killing our country!

We have become such a laxiscidasical country afraid to hurt anyones feelings or actually tell the truth and stand up for something we believe in because it might infringe on someone else..... Screw that! I'm done laying down or rolling over for someone! If they dont like it they can Kiss my A$$ while I'm walking away! But you better believe they will know how I feel!

What is right for me isnt right for everyone yeah yeah yeah I know.......

I'm not here to change anyone or make everyone agree with me.... You are going to vote how you feel you need to just as I will do as I feel I have too.

I'm just taking advantage of my right to the freedom of speech as long as I have it! LOL

For what Kerry did when he came back from Nam their was a time in are history he would have been tried for treason. I don't know how if for that reason alone how any American could vote for Kerry Read the 14th amendment sec 3 I think it is in and tell me how they even allowed him to run for the Senate. I for one could never if only for that reason vote for anyone who spit on every vet since the Revolutionary War. By the way if your to young to remember Nam The ones he accused of atrocities on and average were 19 year old men. That was the average age of a combat vet. Given what Kerry did if you had a boy or girl that was in service would you want Kerry to be their commander if we are in a war???????? It might do everyone some good if they are thinking of voting for Kerry to watch "Stolen Honor:Wounds That Never Heal" See what it was like from the ones that were over their many were POWs. It might change your mind. Then again to back Kerry you have to be so far to the left maybe it wouldn't

It's good to see the rabid right still refusing to check their sources. Kerry's protest of the war never named names, never accused anyone of anything. He said we should not be there, and that the gurilla warfare was forcing Americans to do heinous things just to protect themselves.

Pretty much what every other vet of the time was saying, he just got a spotlight to say it in. Go ask a Vietnam vet if they thought we should be there, and if conventional rules applied to fighting guerilla opponents.

LOL Guess you inhaled to much coming up. Well I always said the Democraps are the Commie party of a few years back. Wonder why it took so long to get an Honorable Discharge from the service. Funny fighting for the middle class and his wife only pays a little over 12% in taxes on her return. Maybe you should spend some time listening to some of what he said to the Senate when he came back. Better yet hear what the POWs are saying. I take it you were never even born in the 60s and early 70s. Only thing I hope is you stay out of AZ We are getting enough liberals here now

Wrong again lostone. I think our main difference is that I choose not to be spoonfed what to believe, I look it up myself. I verify from many sources, and investigate claims that are presented.

I don't stop with Rush or Hannity for my news sources. AP wire and Reuters news sources are a good start.... get the bare story before any other source can spin it.

I will not vote for John Kerry for two reasons
I ride quads
I also am a gun owner
If his prior voting behavior, is an indication of things to come, I am in jeopardy of losing both.
