Default ATV's Riding on Groomed Snowmobile Trails????

Exactly... but it just illustrates the way we enthusiasts are shooting ourselves in the foot.

Chances are this individual is not a member of any club... If he were, he would have known better.

The other part of this is in fact, we both (ATV and Snowmobile) need each other if we are successfully going to combat the environmental machine. You can include mountain bikers, Dirt bikers, and 4x4 enthusiast too... We are all fighting for access to public lands. Lands that we are paying taxes to support too...

To illustrate the nonsense that we are up against, the environmental lobby has convinced the forest service to declare a large portion of previoulsy logged areas as wilderness. And they are wanting the DNR to place the logging roads etc off limits. When you look at the original legislation, the roads, if not regularly maintained, were supposed to be exempt from the off limits designation.. however because of their constant legal wrangling, that issue has fallen victim of the old bait and switch, and now all roads are subject... How that happened is a wonder... but it is causing a great deal of courtroom discussion right now.

The bottom line is we all need to get involved, at every level.. and join our voices if we intend to counter their attacks. The other sports enthusiasts are not our enemies... they should be our allies.

The real problem is how do we get those irresponsible maniacs off the trails? Confiscate their quad is one way... You do that a few times and the word will get out. We frankly do not need people like that any longer... in any sport.. the good thing is that the people that live for the moment like this looking for that instant gratification usually lose interest and move on to something else... if they survive their thrill seeking years that is.... If the authorities take their Quads, we just speed up that process....

So far, we get some support from snowmobilers when it comes to motorized access to state forest trails during summer, but we could lose that if we ruin their trails in the winter.

I ride both a snowmobile and 4-wheeler, but I wouldn't be happy if I found a 4-wheeler had messed up a groomed snowmobile trail.

It's in the best interest of 4-wheelers and snowmobilers to cooperate rather than pick fights. The tree huggers would be extatic to see us pitted against each other.
There's yor answer One Fly, but if there is no snow (as now)its wide open. Also, most have signs stating "No wheeled vehicles beyond this sign" ALL wheeled vehicles. You won't find very many of these signs in Wa. right now.........WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
