I recently just got new land and it has very few trails through the wooded sections. I know i can make trails with a machete and a chainsaw as i have done before but the problem with that is 1) how much time it takes and 2) since my land is about 8 hours away i dont get to go there nearly as often as i like so by the time i get back down there its normally overgrown with brush again Does anyone know an effective way to quickly clear trails without having to maintain them constantly? I know thats a big task and there may not be an easy answer but your help would be appreciated.

 

Bulldozer or some other large earthmover would work well.

 

I would saw maybee hire a HYDRO-AXE, brush hog, or maybee just rent a skid steer.

 

I just use a Dozer.. and make and 8-10' wide trail.. takes a while for the bushes to take back over that way. and have a drag that goes behind a ute to clear sticks and shave out the ruts between groomings with the dozer or skidsteer.
