Another Great Trail System Being Ruined!
There is a lot of great information the atvoffroad.net website.
I just posted a subject there on the Oscoda County trails, and I'll copy and paste it here at the bottom.
The ATV Club of Michigan, which was MATV, is now defunct. Not because of lack of members from what I understand, but from a lack of those members participating in activities such as trail grooming, etc.
I live in Mio and also operate a business here and I'm not really sure who is responsible for maintaining our trail system, which does include Bull Gap, but also The Meadows, Mio Loop and Hunt Creek. But maybe send your questions to Bob at the Oscoda County RRA. (link below).
Good luck, Karen

Per the oscoda county recreational riders association the public hearing is scheduled for thursday november 6th at 7pm in the mio community center.
http://www.oscodacountyrra.com/ they are asking for letters, letters, letters to be sent.
I have samples for anyone interested. Please e-mail me at northstarresort@yahoo.com
They are looking at opening up 10 "links" not the whole county at this point. From reading the sample letters that i received from bob who heads up the ocrra, i guess there are concerns about 3 of these links. I have asked bob to sent me the specific info on where these 10 links are and as soon as i have more info, i'll be posting it. The letters are to be addressed to:
steve goldman
district ranger, mio ranger station
huron-manistee national forest
107 mckinley rd.
mio, mi 48647
it is the usfs above that has concerns about 3 of the links.
also address letters to:
oscoda county board of commissioners
311 morenci street
po box 399
county courthouse
mio, mi 48647
they are recommending that the letters be received by the above 2 agencies before november 4.
thanks for your support!
