Read a great aticle today about Warren Buffet and his charitable ambitions. He said, get this, 99% of his accumulated wealth is being donated to legit IRS 501-C3 charities. 99%!!!! He said 1% leaves him and his children more than comfortable and in fact, he added, they will have no change whatsoever in their lifestyles. Mega-billions will begin to flow to those in need immediately. Quote "teachers get thanked in notes from parents. That's great, but is it really enough? It's time to put some $$ behind these sentiments." (just one example BTW)

Just thought it was a cool article.

 

I think Gates says the same, not sure if he plans to give 99%, but close to it. People rag on Microsoft, but the guy is giving away tens of billions of dollars. It' an awesome thing. I read that at one point he was making close to 1 million a working hour during the 90s.

 

"Let he who has two give to him who has none." These guys are going way beyond that. Kudos to them.
