Ahhh, I get it now. It's okay for a whole bunch of Democrats to boo and jeer Bush, but not okay for one Republican to call Obama a liar. That makes it much clearer. If they want proper decorum maybe they should take the plank out of their eyes so they can see to take the speck out of Wilson's eye.

Default Admonishment

The House voted along party lines to Admonish Rep. Wilson for his statement during the President's speech.
This Admonishment was amounts to a slap on the wrist but was pushed for by the congressional black caucus claiming the statement carried racial overtones. Now the NAACP is jumping on that bandwagon along with former President Jimmy Carter! All claiming that race played a role in the statement "YOU LIE". To me this is reverse racism at it's worst and frankly, I don't think it has any place in any branch of government. We, as a country elected President Obama, (a Black/White ) man and although I so far have disagreed with 99% of his policies, race plays NO PART in why I disagree with him.
It is his leftist, socialistic policies I disagree with and I think Rep. Wilson feels the same way.
I also am surprised we haven't heard from Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton sense racism is being used as a tool by the left!
This is deplorable and reprehensible behavior in my opinion! Shame on them!

Careful, you remember how much trouble Obama got in with his Special Olympics bowling comment. But, I'm sure he never really said that....

Saw Carter on tv this morning, and all I could think of was his mother saying this;

Sometimes when I look at all my children, I say to myself, 'Lillian, you should
have stayed a virgin.'

So, this comment isn't racist either, is it???
It did not help the cause of diversity and tolerance with his remarks. If I was a betting man, I’d say it instigated more racist sentiment, feeling that it’s OK, that you don’t have to bury it down,” Johnson said.
“I guess we’ll probably have folks putting on white hoods and white uniforms again and riding through the countryside, intimidating people,” he said. “That’s the logical conclusion if this kind of attitude is not rebuked.”

Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga.

That's interesting since the last member of either house of the legislative branch that was a member of the KKK was Robert Byrd (D) if I remember correctly.

Yep, KKK. Only admitted member anyway. That was in the early 1940s though. He's come around a bit, it would seem.
