If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM
stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and
incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful
and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco
de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May
(Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you
have winced in embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had misspelled the word "advice" would you have
hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of
what a dunce he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a
single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low
over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan
causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually
get what happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims
throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in
New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue
with claims of racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report
directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is
happening in America, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major
corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so,
would you have approved?

If George W Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had
taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have
approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10
years, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant
and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this
in 5 months -- so you'll have three years and seven months to come up
with an answer.

Say waht you want about Obama but don't use "dubya" as a comparison. G W did everything in his power to etch himself in history as one of THE WORST presidents this nation has seen. Regardless of which side of the fence you stand (pretty obvious for you however) you have to give this administration more time to at least try to dig us out of the mess W's administration put us in. You can only use 911 for so many excuses before everyone realizes how horrible wrong you are as a leader. I encourage everyone to think like an independent. Listen and form an opinion based on facts not just because you are R or D, or Lib or Con, or Left or right. That crap gets old and causes nothing but division. The W admin did a great job of creating barrier between the left and right so use your own brain and stop listening to FOX news!! (although FOX is known for showing some sexy leg women)

 

Ahhhh, check your "facts" there guy. You want to talk "national debt". How do you think the Iraq war was paid for. Take a look at the debt in the last 9 years and who was in control for 8 of them.

Teleprompters......Still talking about that. Here's a good reason:

President Obama uses a teleprompter in delivering most of his speeches for a reason: he’s good at it. Ronald Reagan was the same way. He was more at ease in reading his speech off the dual screens of a teleprompter than looking up and down at a speech text on his lectern. Not so, George W. Bush. He often got that nervous, deer-in-the-headlights look when giving an address from a teleprompter. Very uneasy and strange looking. Not good for him, so he stopped using them.

 

Jahwohl, mein comandent. Gee, I guess we should all watch ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and all the other news channels. Of course, they aren't left leaning at all. I mean, heaven forbid there should be a conservative leaning news channel. We can't have that. The mainstream media wouldn't give Obama a pass when listening to a convicted check kiter for advice on health care would they? They wouldn't ignore the speeches Obama's Czars and advisors have made that point to an administration filled with socialists?

Why would I want to watch someone who is digging just as deep as the so-called mainstream media did when Bush was in office?

I get the feeling the mainstream media isn't looking as hard as they did at Bush. Just my opinion. They (CBS? and Dan Rather) were even willing to fabricate a National Guard report to prove their point. That sounds fair and honest. How about MSNBC covering a gun rally down the street from Obama giving a speech in Arizona and claiming it was racist by showing an AR-15 being carried by a guy? Oh yeah, they purposely didn't show the fact that the gentleman with the AR-15 was in fact, black. The mainstream media continually ridicules average Americans who go out to Tea Parties as "bafoons, idiots, angry Americans, etc." Yet, they don't delve into the underhanded dealings of Acorn who was to get millions from Congress for their projects. Hmmm, no hypocrisy there. As a songwriter once said, "put your brain in neutral, turn on the television set, kick off your shoes and don't worry, they haven't cut the power off yet..."

On the barrier between left and right. There has always been one. When a conservative, or moderate like Bush, runs the show they are divisive if they don't agree with a liberal congress. When a liberal congress wants to ram something through it's a "bi-partisan effort" even though only one or two members of the opposition voted along with them. I didn't need to get mugged by a thief to be a conservative. I just look at my paycheck and do my own taxes so I can see how much goes to that black hole known as the US government. Oh wait, it's actually going to China at the rate of $500 million a week to pay interest. Reagen said, I didn't leave the Democratic Party, they left me. I don't think John F. Kennedy could even run as a democrat now. Pro life, cut taxes,.... Horrors! what was he thinking?

 

OK facts guy....If GW doubled the national debt in 8 years, and OB doubled that in 8 mos....who spent more in less time?

 

Maybe it's just my conservative upbringing, but we were always taught if you're in a hole, stop digging.
