I can't believe that these senators are hypocritical enough to have health insurance, that WE pay for, without making sure that we have health insurance too. -justme23005
The insurance plan congress is on is nothing like what they are ramrodding through for us. If they would put us on a plan like they have everyone would support it! Of course we would bankrupt the system in about a year or something.

That's what really tells me not to trust what obama is pushing, congress does not have to use this system being pushed. If it is such a good system that all Americans have to have it by law, why does congress not have to be under the same system?

I think they should stay completely out of the healthcare business, period. The less they do, the less they spend, the less they tax us, the more we have to spend, the better the economy is. -MooseHenden
Now that is the way America is supposed to run!

BTW: The dems claim they have their 60 vote super majority now.

I find it interesting that they will start taxing right after they pass the bill but the actual program won't start until 2014. Hmmm, isn't 2014 AFTER the next presidential election? I don't think they want people to actually be on the program and see how wonderful government run insurance is.

And somehow, it will all be Bush's fault.

Bush doesn't have to worry about health insurance, He made enough money off his oil investments to pay for his health insurance for a long time.

I do not carry health insurance for minor stuff, I pay out of pocket. People with enough wealth really don't need the insurance at all. They usually have a savings in place for such things and therefore do not need mandated health insurance.

Yep, he made money in the private sector. He didn't have to charge the taxpayers with a burden they can't afford. A conservative sees a need and if he has the means to help, helps the family or individual. A liberal makes a big government program and steals the money through taxation from others to pay for it.

I had an epiphany this weekend about the proposed healthcare system.

Was sitting at Pizza Hut waiting on my pizza. They have the any size, any toppings, any crust pizza for 10 bucks. But, there was fine print you didn't see. It didn't cover deep dish or stuffed crust. Those were extra charges. It only covered medium and large. You couldn't get the extra large at all.

I get feeling the healthcare system is gonna be the same thing. Sure, you get the deal, but it's gonna be very limited, and it's not gonna be cheap for the working class person.

Just another thing I'd rather cover on my own, and not leave it up to the government.
