For those that consider the Constitution a "living, breathing, document" that can be changed to meet your every whim.
"The first and governing maxim in the interpretation of a statute is to discover the meaning of those who made it." --James Wilson, Of the Study of Law in the United States, 1790
I highly recommend that everyone read the Federalist Papers. They explain what the Founding Fathers meant by the Amendments and Constitution.

As Bob Dylan sang in 1964 "Time they are a changing" little did we know back then how much and how far changes would go. Some changes are good and necessary, but some are very bad for this country and the world as a whole. Glad my son's grown, but my grand daughter and kids like her are who I worry about.

When Obummer said, "Change", I didn't realize that meant that would be all that's left in my wallet after the tax and spend types had their way.

If Obummercare (The so-called "Affordable Care Act") is such a good thing for us why does the administration keep changing it or moving back deadlines? I don't suppose it's because there is pressure from the Dimocrats in Congress and the Senate who are up for election and have the albatross of Obummercare hanging around there necks??? Nah.... Couldn't be.

In the famous words of Nancy Pelosi, "We have to vote on it to know what's in the bill". Kind of like, "I have to buy the car before I know if it's what I want", or maybe, "I have to buy this house, sight unseen, before I know what's in it." Call me crazy, but I get the feeling they knew what was in it all along but foisted it upon us anyhow.
This is some interesting information about Obummercare. Even though it's hardly off the ground (much like my vertical leap) it's wasted billions of our tax dollars.
""Never in my lifetime have I seen a law that is helping so many people be so vilified," complained Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA). "This is a huge success, this law." How successful? Well, a report released in time for ObamaCare's four-year anniversary Sunday indicates just the opposite. The American Action Forum sums it up: "From a regulatory perspective, the law has imposed more than $27.2 billion in total private sector costs, $8 billion in unfunded state burdens, and more than 159 million paperwork hours on local governments and affected entities. What's more troubling, the law has generated just $2.6 billion in annualized benefits, compared to $6.8 billion in annualized costs. In other words, the ACA has imposed 2.5 times more costs than it has produced in benefits." We'd say the law is doing a fine job of vilifying itself."
But, I'm sure the Dimocrats solution will be to just keep raising our taxes rather than learn to cut spending...

The ATF's gun-running operation isn't the only one in town. Anti-gun California Democrat State Senator Leland Lee was arrested Wednesday and charged with arms trafficking in exchange for campaign contributions. As if that weren't bad enough, Lee worked with a San Francisco gangster known as "Shrimp Boy" and he offered a $2 million arms deal -- including automatic rifles and shoulder-fire missiles -- to Islamic rebels in the Philippines. The hypocrisy is astounding, as Lee was also a repeat offender when it came to introducing anti-gun legislation in California, including a ban on all types of semiautomatic guns. Evidently, he merely wanted to eliminate anything remotely close to competition. We suppose this also means Nancy Pelosi will retract her endorsement.

???????????????????????????????????????????? How do gay pride parades (abnormal, perverse behaviors), government healthcare, and other liberal ideologies that were featured in that music video inspire hope, DD? Some of the behaviors showed in the video and in the lyrics are the very things than are bringing the wrath of God down on this country. Am I missing something???
Turn it off. Turn away and realize "they" will only drag you down and do NOT have the answers.

OPT, I think we & our children & childrens children are being called upon now if there is to be a future of any value.
