A lot of salt raises the blood pressure of SOME people. It's no reason for the rest to cut down. I can see there being some kind of fat tax for obese people but not a limit to how much salt people are allowed to use.

Socialism,still the same outcome no matter how you break it down and how you apply it..

The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house
and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper
calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be
allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving..
CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to
provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant
in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast.
How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper
is allowed to suffer so?
Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper
and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green ...'
Occupy the Anthill stages
a demonstration in front of the ant's
house where the news stations film the SEIU group singing, We shall overcome.
Then Rev Al Sharpton's assistant
has the group kneel down to pray for the grasshopper
while he damns the ants. The Reverend Al can not attend as he has contractual commitments to appear on his MSNBC show for which he is paid over two million dollars a year to complain that rich people do not care.
President Obama condemns the ant
and blames
President Bush 43, President Bush 41, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the
Pope
for the grasshopper's
plight.. Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid
exclaim in an interview on The View that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the
grasshopper , and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.
Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity &
Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.
The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number
of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper .
The story ends as we see the grasshopper
and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house,
crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it.
The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.
The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and peaceful, neighborhood.
The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2016.
I've sent this to you because I believe that you are an ant not a grasshopper !
Make sure that you pass this on to other ants .
Don't bother sending it on to any grasshoppers because they wouldn't understand it, anyway

It's clear having about 1/2 the population receiving aid from the government isn't feasible. Given that it costs about $3 to give away $1 through the government, it's like the working 50% are supporting 3 times the number actually on the taking side. 18 trillion dollars in debt, 4 trillion to the Chinese, and they don't even talk about true spending cuts and measures to pay back the debt....

Oreilly had a breakdown last night of the approximate amount of American debt that Bernie Sanders would rack up in 8yrs If all of his plans were to go thru - 18 trillion

In other words, he'd double a debt that Obama has already doubled himself

Found this posted from someone that was very educated way before any of us was born. I would have loved to have had a conversation with man..

"In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: “A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship.”

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.”

Is time running out for this great country??

Sadly, yes. In more ways than one. God offers blessings and curses. Blessings to a nation that obey's him and curses to a nation that rebels against his ways. Here we are. We've sad, in so many ways, we don't want God to rule in the affairs of man. God has pulled back his protection and waits to see what we'll do. Repent or perish. My own .02 worth.

I think you're right and I do believe this man would agree with you if he was still around. Faith leads to courage,liberty and abundance. If you let any of those slip it's downhill from there.

Muslim terrorists strike again. Obama promises more gun control.

Nanny doesn't trust us with guns, we might hurt somebody, and likes to blame the NRA for every shooting.
