Default Help a noob?

Hello guys im new to the whole atv scene and i just wanted a few pointers. I dont have a lot of experience on an atv and im looking at getting a kinda "starter one" kinda inexspensive used maybe any suggestions on what make model and im on a tight budget im only 17 w/a lousy job so im relying on the parents for some money around $2000 which is not much considering how much these things run. any way i have been trying to get as much info on the stuff as possible any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can pick up a used Polaris Trailblazer for around $1500-$1800. They are a 250cc 2 stroke, which is easy to mod for a fairly inexpensive price. They are also a fully auto quad with a belt drive tranny, the same kind found on snowmobiles. They also have reverse. These things make it good as a "beginner quad"

Or you could look at a 300ex or older 250x. Both the blazer and ex would be a good starter bike.

A Blaster is a good entry level quad too. Welcome VooDoo!

find you a good 87/88 250x. You can find TONS of parts for them. The bike should be less then 2k. I sold mine for about 1500.

If not, get a Blaster or Warrior. All 3 of these bikes have been around since the 80's and have changed very little. Should find them cheap.

You should be able to find a Yamaha Warrior 350 for around $2000. because they've been around for years. It has enough power to have some fun.

For a beginner I would say go with a used 325 Trailboss Polaris or a used 250 Honda Recon both are good machines that arent over or under powered.
