We are developing a spray controller for ATV's, It will be able to vary the pump speed to maintain rate or use a valve.

What I am wanting to know is how do all the ATV's measure there speed. Do the use a pulse created by a sensor? If so what frequency range? Do some still use cables? Any other systems?
